The apartments are located in the North East of Edinburgh's New Town, 15 minutes' walk from Princes Street, and just 10 minutes from the Royal Botanic Garden and the Water of Leith, close to reliable and frequent bus routes into the city centre and to the vibrant area of Leith. Guests can take advantage of some fantastic bars and restaurants on nearby Broughton Street and the surrounding area. Alternatively there is a large supermarket just around the corner. St Andrew's bus station and Waverly train station are both around 2 km from the apartment hotel, while Holyrood Palace and Edinburgh Castle are both approximately 3 km away.The apartments were refurbished and upgraded in 2006 and now consist of 12 studio and 1-bedroom apartments. Guests arriving by car can park on the street operated as pay and display. There is no allocated parking for the apartments. Complimentary wireless Internet access is available in all apartments and guests can also benefit from a number of extra services provided including babysitting, access to a city gym and restaurant, and theatre reservations.The studio apartments offer independence and comfort with living spaces including a fully equipped kitchen and dining area with fridge, cooker, microwave and tea and coffee making facilities, and a bathroom complete with bathtub and a powerful shower. Other features include a double bed, hairdryer, TV, Internet access, a washing machine, ironing set and central heating. All linen and towels are provided.American Express, MasterCard and VISA are accepted as methods of payment.Check-in and key collection is between 3 pm and 8 pm (check-out is before 10 am) from the main office at 6 Queen street, EH2 1JE, Edinburgh. Guests receive their key here and the information about where the apartment is situated. Self check-out is standard in the apartments so guests do not need to return to the main office on the day of check-out (credit card details must be provided to secure this facility). Late check-in/early check-in and late check-out times are available with a charge. A welcome pack is provided on arrival. Bed linen and hand towels are provided. Due to the layout of the city, guests may be required to climb a number of steps to reach their accommodation. Guests who have mobility problems are kindly asked to inform the hotel prior to arrival.From Edinburgh airport to Queen street for key collection: exit from Edinburgh airport onto Eastfield Road and follow the signs for the City Centre, Edinburgh Zoo. Go through Eastfield Road and turn left onto the A8. Enter Edinburgh continuing on Glasgow Road (A8). Go through the Drumbrae Roundabout and onto Saint John's Road (A8). Carry onto West Coastes, which becomes Haymarket Terrace (A8). Turn left onto Haymarket and continue onto West Maitland Street. This becomes Shandwick Place which then becomes Princes Street. Turn left onto South Charlotte Street which becomes Charlotte Square and then North Carlottle Street. Turn right onto Albyn Place, and turn left into Queen Street. The apartments are at number 6 Queen Street (opposite end) on the right-hand side, next to the Jam House.
